I’ll never forget getting to college and being asked to pick a major... I thought, “But I don’t know who I am… how will I know if this is the best path for me?” 

I asked my college career counselor, who shrugged at me and unfortunately had no answers.

So I did what most people do: I just picked a major for the sake of it... I picked a career simply because I had to, not because I knew what I was meant for.

Was I interested in political science (my major)? Sure. But I didn’t know if I was meant for a career in it. In fact, I didn’t even know what a career would feel like or look like in the political realm.

As the years drew on, I held onto a plan for the sake of having one, because the only thing scarier than having a random career plan was not having one at all. 

So I got to go to cocktail parties, family gatherings and the like with a shiny answer to that dreaded question, “What do you want to do with your life?”

I’d smile and talk about how I wanted to work in counterterrorism one day, saving lives and making an impact in the world.

I’ll never forget a lecture I sat in for 3 hours about US foreign policy objectives in the Middle East. Afterwards, some students and I headed out for happy hour, and I couldn’t help but notice their passion to further discuss the topic, after class was over.

They were passionate about foreign affairs. And I was just interested.

Realizing I may not be meant for that path, after putting years into a graduate degree and language classes felt overwhelming.

So instead of facing it, I convinced myself that this would be my path.

Many moments popped up along my journey, where that little whisper would remind me I was on the wrong path… but I was too scared to listen to it.

Just a couple of years after grad school, I landed three job offers in Washington, DC, one of which was a management position, running a program for the Pentagon. I couldn’t believe I landed such an incredible opportunity. To be in my early 20s, making nearly 6 figures in a management role blew my mind…

So I eagerly accepted the job, only to hear that same old voice pipe up inside of me: you’re not meant for this path.

This was when I realized something really profound...

If you don’t actually like the work you’re doing in the world, it’ll show up in your health, your happiness, your relationships… All of it. Who you are-- and what you really love-- will always shine through, and win. 

That’s why I finally decided to face the music. I decided to take massive action to really understand who I truly was, so that I could then create a career that felt inspiring, fulfilling and meaningful. So what did I do? Well… 

I started showing friends how I landed so many job offers so they could do the same.

Why? Because despite not wanting to work in counterterrorism any longer, I slayed my job hunt, and friends wondered how I made that happen.

After all, the best job opportunities don’t always go to the most qualified candidate, they go to the *best job seeker, and best communicator.* 

I didn’t know it then, but my skill set in job hunting would turn into a private coaching practice and a set of online courses on how to find your purpose land job offers, and stand out in your job.

I’ve since coached more than 400 women 1:1 and more than 7,000 customers in 31 countries via my online courses.

But I’ll never forget how it felt to be so disconnected from my career, and that hopeless feeling of not knowing where to go next.

This video training helps you discover your deepest skill set, the one you want to carry with you and hone throughout your career. In this module, I’ll share the top 10 core skill sets that I’ve identified in the workforce, and support you in uncovering what your primary, and secondary skill set is, as well as what career paths align with that skill set. One factor that’ll influence this is whether you’re an introvert or extrovert— I’ll explain why! You’ll also learn what common mistakes or misunderstandings you may be having about your skill set, so that you can break free of them. I’ll also provide you with a list of my favorite personality tests to deepen what you discover about yourself along the way!

Not all passions or interests are meant to be turned into a career path… so how do you decide what to do with yours? In this module, you’ll discover how to distinguish your passions from your interests and your gifts, and how it plays into your calling in the workforce.

🔑Module 6: Carry Your Core Values Into Your Work
There’s a big difference between the WHAT versus the HOW of your career. The WHAT focuses on what type of job you’re in; the HOW is all about how it looks (hours, corporate culture, structure), and one large factor to decode your career clarity puzzle is your core values. One of the most powerful ingredients for a fulfilling career is your core values, and if you’re not happy in your career now, it’s likely because one of your core values is being infringed upon, or you’re not clear on what they are for you in the first place. This module will help you understand what your core values are, and how they factor into your career options. 

🔑Module 7: How To Use Linkedin For Clarity In Your Career
One of the biggest mistakes you could make in your career is in making assumptions. That’s why I love Linkedin! It’s an incredible place to learn about people’s jobs for your own clarity, and you’ll notice that people share and show more on their profile than you could ever see in a job posting. While Linkedin is a great tool for networking, I believe it’s an even better tool for clarity on your career options when it’s used properly. I’ll show you how to harness it, so you can discover job niches and career paths you didn’t even know existed for you - ones you’d truly love.

🔑Module 8: Craft Your Perfect Elevator Pitch
If you're making a career change (or staying in the same one!), you'll need an elevator pitch, also known as your answer to the question "tell me about yourself." This is the most common interview and networking question - and the most botched. I'll share my proven elevator pitch formula, so that you can connect with like minded professionals and discuss your career path in a confident and clear way.
